What Is Sick Leave?
Sick leave (subsídio de doença) is a benefit paid by Social Security to workers who are temporarily unable to work due to illness or non-occupational accident. To qualify, the worker needs a temporary incapacity certificate (CIT) issued by a doctor.
Who Is Entitled to Sick Leave?

Who Pays Sick Leave?
