Pedro Flores is the new CEO of Grupo Your, replacing Filipa Xavier de Basto. The decision reinforces the accounting firm's ambition "to establish itself as a trusted financial partner of reference for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Portugal," the company states.
In the new role since January, Pedro Flores began his professional career at Deloitte in 2005, having been part of consulting projects in Portugal and Angola for companies such as Sonae, CP, EDP, TAP, Galp, and Sonangol. In 2009, he joined and developed the family business, leading the transformation of Floresconta into BTime.
According to Grupo Your, whose shareholders include Ó Capital, insurer Caravela, and the fund Explorer Investments, Pedro Flores holds a degree in Economics and a master's in Tax Management. Since 2015, he has been a guest lecturer at the Lisbon Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration (ISCAL) in the area of Financial Accounting.
"I take on this leadership with the commitment to make Grupo Your a trusted reference in the provision of accounting, payroll, and administrative services, supporting companies with solutions that simplify management and sustain informed decisions."
Pedro Flores' objective in the role is to strengthen technical quality, accelerate digitalization and process automation, and consolidate a people-centered culture, both internally and in client relationships.
"We will accelerate technology and process automation without losing the human and personalized side of advisory."
According to Grupo Your, this appointment "reinforces its mission to be a long-term partner for companies, contributing to accounting teams increasingly assuming a strategic advisory role, with close, personalized support oriented toward managers' decision-making, in a context of growing regulatory demands and the need for greater efficiency."
